The Why

The Utility Muff has been in the works for over two years. The creation process has included multiple designs/demos and continued testing. Originally designed for gas masks and team roles requiring a slick-back. Drop-leg pouches were never our favorite. If you were lucky enough to have the back real estate on your armor, the permanently mounted pouch always seemed to stick out too far. Back mounted pouches were also not accessible solo. The Utility Muff is a self-accessible and adjustable fanny-pack style belt with a large interior compartment married with two smaller netted compartments for gloves/hoods/etc. The addition of a third small cutout for activated warmers sits just behind the main muff to assist in battling the cold. The minimalist belt allows for easy-on, easy off additions of the belt to meet mission/training requirements. The belt is designed to be able to rotate the bag to access contents if worn anterior or posterior or to adjust during movement/riding assignments. The muff has adjustable shock cord to personalize fitting and locking in warmth or other mission essentials. Drain holes are located underneath to allow for quick drying and rinsing. A tourniquet loop is also located in an external and easily accessible loop under the bag.

Since its creation the Utility Muff has been, not surprisingly, easily adapted to fit other roles such as IFAK's and hunting. As a hunting tool, it allows for nearly all accessories such as game calls, knives, external chargers, gloves/hoods, range finders, GPS, first aid, hydration, etc. all to be carried centrally and easily accessible in a single location all while keeping your hands warm and a streamlined silhouette.
